The Magic of Fantasy Colouring Books
Fantasy colouring books are not only beautiful art. They’re also invitations to other realms. Each page draws you into enchanted forests, skies ablaze with dragonfire, and worlds where mermaids whisper secrets beneath the waves. These books allow us to pause time, reconnect with wonder, and co-create the worlds we yearn to explore.
But the most powerful of these books come from creators who do it all by hand, pouring thousands of hours into their intricate illustrations.
This is a celebration of 50 such author-artists: illustrators who bring their original fantasy worlds to life with ink, story, and soul.

-
🎨 Are either self-published, indie, or internationally recognized.
Fantasy Colouring Book Author-Artists (A–Z)
I curated this list from artists I love, as well as from those I found online or through recommendations from other colourists. I don’t own all of their books. The artists with links to their Amazon pages are those whose work I personally admire and whose books I love. I also have link to my own Amazon page of all the books I've illustrated.

In today’s digital age, where AI-generated images and mass-produced colouring books flood the market, this list of hand-drawn fantasy colouring book artists stands as a vital reminder of the power of human creativity and craftsmanship.
Each illustration done by these artists (and many more that aren't on the list yet) represents hours of dedicated skill, life experiences and practices, and personal touch. Their work has qualities that machines cannot replicate. Supporting these artists not only preserves the rich tradition of hand-drawn art but also encourages authentic, meaningful connections between creators and those who colour their worlds.
If there are fantasy colouring book artists you love who aren’t on the list, please feel free to leave a comment or email me. I’ll be happy to add their names and details to the list.
